SOCIAL MEDIA AND DESIGN ROOM INTERNSHIP

During my placement at Studio Ellis, a renowned bridal and luxury fashion company, I had the privilege of working across their three distinct brands: Ellis Bridals, Kelsey Rose, and John Charles. This exposure allowed me to develop a profound understanding of each brand's unique identity, aesthetic, and target consumer, enabling me to produce work that seamlessly aligned with their respective visions.

One of my primary responsibilities was managing the TikTok accounts for Kelsey Rose and Ellis Bridals. With a keen eye for trends, hashtags, and engaging sounds, I crafted content that resonated with existing followers while attracting new potential customers. Leveraging my time management skills, I strategically scheduled posts using Later, ensuring a consistent and impactful presence on the platform. Additionally, I meticulously analysed performance data and utilised my proficiency in Excel to produce comprehensive spreadsheets, providing valuable insights into the growth and engagement of each brand's TikTok account.

Furthermore, I had the opportunity to oversee the Kelsey Rose Instagram account, where I demonstrated my creative prowess by producing captivating content and editing dynamic reels using Premiere Pro. Extending my social media responsibilities, I planned and executed engaging blog posts on topics that resonated with the target audience, complemented by visually appealing infographics to enhance reader engagement.

Utilising my copywriting skills and deep understanding of the consumer's interests, I crafted captivating blog posts that not only showcased my ability to create compelling content but also demonstrated my grasp of the audience's preferences and desires. By tapping into their aspirations and pain points, I crafted written pieces that resonated with readers, fostering a stronger connection with the brand and driving engagement.

In addition to my social media and content creation efforts, I consistently conducted comprehensive research reports, analysing competitors' marketing strategies and seeking innovative ways to incorporate their successful approaches into our marketing calendar. This process also involved studying the marketing strategies of luxury goods brands, broadening my understanding of the industry and consumer behaviour.

During fast-paced trade shows and catwalk events, I thrived in dynamic environments, dressing models and ensuring the showroom maintained a polished and presentable appearance. Collaborating closely with the interior designer, I assisted in constructing sets, further developing my skills in visual merchandising.

Leveraging my organisational abilities, I meticulously prepared administrative materials, including line sheets, price lists, and look books, utilising my proficiency in InDesign. This experience not only strengthened my design skills but also allowed me to contribute to the company's operational efficiency.

Throughout my tenure at Studio Ellis, I demonstrated exceptional adaptability, working closely with various departments and actively supporting the team in diverse capacities. This experience not only honed my teamwork and collaboration abilities but also provided me with a comprehensive understanding of business operations, from initial sketches to customer fulfilment.

Studio Ellis has been an invaluable learning experience, equipping me with a multitude of skills and knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit my future endeavours. The opportunity to work in a small team environment allowed me to undertake tasks and responsibilities that may not have been available in a larger organisation, fostering my growth as a well-rounded professional.
